PROJECT DESCRIPTION |
|
|
| The National Computational Science Institute (www.computationalscience.org) extends opportunities for faculty and teachers to explore computational science in the K-12 and undergraduate classroom, lab, and research experiences. Through the three phases of PUSH (NCSI staff pushing computational approaches in teaching and learning in local, regional, and national meetings, plus numerous campus visits), PULL (more than 500 faculty from small to medium size colleges and universities plus numerous community colleges have attending week-long workshops around the country), and PERMEATE (computational science curricular materials and courses are accessible as on-line learning objects), NCSI is exceeding its targets for faculty participation, especially for women and underrepresented minorities. |
